Raph is 100% correct. And we have never had a problem with in-actives as long as they attend the main scenarios we go to. Actually for the 1/4 of the team that is attending Blanding 1/2 of those are in-actives. That alone is a bit sad since 3/4 of the team in-active or active are not attending. The two main scenarios that we attend are Blanding in February (weather is great that time of year and this is the best game cause its like Call of Duty) and Wayne's World in December (one of the biggest games in South Florida - Grand Finale, also a time with good weather). Its not much to ask from our members to be active two months out of the year and attend these games. Its not mandatory to attend practices as we are and have always been a scenario team.

So if we are a scenario team, I think we should attend scenarios and make it mandatory for our members to do so, at least to the two main games that we attend. Official practices should be held as in the past, 1-2 weeks prior to a big scenario that we are attending. And these official practices should only be mandatory if the scenario is the mandatory scenario (Blanding or Wayne's). As far as casual woods-ball play, well that's up to the member if they want to attend or not. If we are worried what the other teams we play with at these woods-ball areas think, who cares? Half of the time they don't have a team that fully shows for scenarios but only show occasionally at casual woods-ball games. I don't know about you, but I rather have a team that shows at scenarios at full force than a team that only shows for casual woods-ball. I think the sponsors will also agree that its more important to show at big games.

As far as our Regiments outside of Florida (ie, Nogales Mexico, New York), the Florida games are not mandatory but we will get with our regiment leaders there work out what 2 games in their area should be mandatory. This will continue with any additional Regiment that we add on to our team. This team has always thought about its members first and know that this sport is very expensive. With that in mind spending 200-400 a year between all the expenses for these two mandatory games is not much. Hell, our speedball team Requiem used to spend 200 a month at least just for practices. I think its time all the members man up and fulfill their obligation and duty to the team by attending the two scenarios a year. I propose that we start that with Wayne's in December as Blanding is too close at this point. If anyone misses Wayne's they will get booted from the team, unless there is a legitimate excuse and "I don't have any money" is not an excuse as you have almost a year to get together the $200 it will probably cost you and save it away; also there are a bunch of excuses but if you were dedicated to your team you would figure out how to re-arange your schedule to make it happen. Although there are circumstances that we can not control at times, we would take that on a case by case basis. This is the only way to be fair to each member and your team mates.

There will be coming news on Regiments of the Core Paintball Brigade and how that will be divided. The officers have to meet and discuss to finalize the logistics on how this will work. But for now know that the team is growing leaps and bounds, with Regiments (new chapters to the team) in different states to new sponsorships being worked out. To all members: if you do not want to commit to the minor obligation of 2 scenarios a year, then you should rethink your membership on this team and website (as this is a team website not a pubic forum).

Any questions let me or another officer know. Thanks....PHREAK

We have been bleesed with a gracious gift from our allies. The Centurions have landed a great opportunity and have been granted the use of 70 Acres of land in the Stuart area. They have granted the Core 5 acres of this land to create our very own base. Centurions, Backlash, and Joint Ops will also have their own bases on this land and are inviting a possible 3-4 more teams to build their own bases.

We will soon create a design plan and get full aerial maps and build plans out to the team. We do need to get together a listing of peoples schedules on when they can work on building the base and fortifications to the base. I also need a listing of everyone who can contribute and what they can contribute to the build (ie. palattes, wood, pvc pipes, rope, etc...) which is a great help into getting this done. I know the other teams are planing some bad ass base builds, and we should have nothing less than the best. I am assigning my Lieutenant Raphy to head out preparing these lists, so make sure you contact Raph and sign up asap.

We will have some great overnight 24 hr scenarios as well as a monthly scenario game. Yes you heard right, monthly scenaio's on a field that is twice the size of Wayne's World. Cost to play is $10 which will go to a feild fund that will help raise money to create public fill stations, and contribute to the open non base areas of the field. And still BYOP and Air.

Anyone with experience in building fields and with the ability to help contact Raph or myself. We will be going up to see it next sunday early in the AM. Its not a bad drive for once a month so consider this a gift. I want everyone to contribute on this as it will be the team base. More details will follow soon... If you have any questions let me know.... PHREAK

http://corepaintballbrigade.com/blog.htm?a=&nid=A4D7B695-43F1-4D4D-A039-BAE3AD1726B7

http://corepaintballbrigade.com/blog.htm?a=&nid=A4D7B695-43F1-4D4D-A039-BAE3AD1726B7

Cuts Are Being Made...
Looks like its been a while since my last blog. Well, its that time of year again, time to clean some house. We are making some cuts on the team - effective immediately. For all those who have still been coming on to the site at least once a month, you have no problem. As per our guidelines all members must log on at least within 60 days of their last log or be deleted, and attend 1 scenario or 2 practices per year. All who have not been on the site for over 60 days have been deleted unless I or Raphy have received an email or call stating that they are still interested in being part of the team. Other than that we are moving forward and continuing to recruit new scenario players, so if you have any buddies that want to join let us know.

We are having a practice next Friday Sept 4th at Rage, so be there on time and ready to rock. Raphy will be heading this one out. BYOP and 20 bux for entry - not to bad. Good Job Raph..... We will also discuss any open business points. Trips start up in 2009 due to costs and low money flow that most members have incurred this year. We are looking to attend 2-4 events next year so look in the forum and start voting on what you would like to attend. Workshops will be coming thru the end of 2008 and continue in 2009.
